Student Residence: male and female.

Presentation of the San Gabriel Youth Residence: Male section and female section

San Gabriel Youth Residence

San Gabriel School has a Youth Residence with two sections, male and female, Composed of 70 places and intended primarily for those students who opt for our Center and come from locations other than those of the Ribera del Duero region.

The San Gabriel Youth Residence is currently valid and recommended, continuing, in this way, a centuries-old pedagogical tradition. Coexistence in it is organized in such a way that the student can distribute his time between study and sports, artistic and cultural activities. The Residence facilitates the acquisition of habits of order and self-discipline in personal care, in the distribution and use of time, in the necessary socialization outside the family environment, in the manifestation of leadership qualities, etc.

In the 2015/2016 academic year, the male section of the Youth Residence for 4th year ESO, Baccalaureate and Training Cycles students has been completely renovated. Since the 2017/2018 academic year, the women's section has also been renewed. Modern, warm and cozy rooms - single and double - await you in this cheerful house.

We work so that resident students discover and acquire the habit of studying, considered as a value that enriches the person and compromises their future. We provide all our students with a work environment that promotes personal effort, rigor and personality as pillars of academic performance and personal training.

We strive to convey that the study is related to school performance: the more and better the study corresponds to a better result in each of the evaluations. Our resident students receive the same human and religious training as external students. We are firmly committed to New Technologies as an effective teaching-learning tool and to the empowerment of languages as an essential requirement in today's Society. United family and school, we aim to achieve quality education in which joy is not absent.

In our Residence, students not only carry out their studies, but we also try to create a good welcoming climate. The students, guided by educators, learn to live together, cooperate and be supportive with the smaller and weaker classmates who require greater respect and help, suppressing negative behaviors in their training. All this is achieved by accepting some basic rules of coexistence that are made known to them at the beginning of the course and will be reminded throughout the course.

Knowing and respecting the established rules of coexistence contribute to achieving an adequate work environment and the respect due to people, material and facilities. Punctuality, civility and discipline are important values to take into account and that favor the acceptance of the rules.

Contributing to a good climate of coexistence is not only mutual respect and affection among residents, but also among all the people who collaborate in their education. We seek to awaken the sense of the values consecrated in the Gospel and an attitude of closeness and respect towards the little ones and those in need. We want to build coexistence among all and we are convinced that living together means educating ourselves for the present and the future. Intellectual training is not enough and we are committed to an education in values from Christian humanism.
